WinSnap is an improvement utility to get screenshots and then later edit them. It can easily capture non-rectangular windows, with the background of your choice, and can automatically apply the changes or filters for graphic editing, colours, shading, smoothing ... almost as if you were working with PhotoShop.

Among the graphic and artistic effects you can apply in WinSnap there is conversions to black and white, sepia, invert the colours, add shading to the image, rotate it, add outlines, watermarks, and more.

WinSnap admits a wide range of graphic formats, and has an auto-save function for the images. Another positive point for the program is its small size (just 200 Kb) and that it's totally free. It has some specific functions to capture Windows Vista interfaces, support for transparencies in PNG format, and an exclusive mode for multi-object captures.
